Paddling Iowa
by Nate Hoogeveen
In 2004 paddlers gained access to a new resource for planning canoe and kayak excursions on Iowa's beautiful and diverse waterways thanks to Iowa native and author Nate Hoogeveen and publisher Trail Books. This work comes from many hours of research and personal experience on the water. A new version of the book was released in 2006 with updated river access details.
The book contains
- Precise maps showing roads, put-ins and take-outs, significant rapids, mileage and other information.
- Trips packaged into easy-to-understand bites that help streamline excursions.
- General summaries covering camping opportunities, water levels, shuttle routes, access points, canoe rentals, and more.
