River/Stream: Maquoketa River

Warning Signs:
Portage: The Iowa DNR reports that there is no portage around the Delhi Dam, and that the section of river above it is primarily flanked by private residences along the still waters. This area requires a vehicle shuttle from Turtle Creek Park to the Maquoketa River access downstream of the dam.
Comments: obvious impoundment
Documented Fatalitites: 1
- June 19, 2010 - Jonathan Berg, jumped from the road to the water, a drop of at least 50 feet.
Incident Report: A witness at the scene said Berg was active in extreme risk sporting activities, and may have been looking for a thrill when he jumped into the water.
