River/Stream: Des Moines River
Built: 1916. DEMOLISHED: February, 2019.
Owner: City of Fort Dodge
Height: formerly 8 feet
Length: formerly 270 feet
Hazards: drowning, urban, visibility
Warning Signs: no longer needed
Comments: Visible downstream from the Little Dam access is a high trestle rail bridge. Just upstream of it is a small dam that submerges before recirculation becomes dangerous. At low flows move over to river right to avoid scraping over its top.
